Allyson M. Jackson will be speaking at the May 16th meeting. She is the Regional General Manager for SMG and responsible for more than million square feet of meeting and exhibition space including the Salt Palace Convention Center, South Towne Exposition Center; Ogden Eccles Conference Center and Peery Egyptian Theater all in Utah and the Lynnwood Convention Center in Lynnwood, WA.
She has 30 years invested in the hospitality industry with the first 21 being with Delta Air Lines as a sales executive. She joined SMG as Director of Sales and Marketing in 1998 and loves the facility side of things. In 2004 SMG named her General Manager and she joined a very exclusive group (less than 10 in the US) of women running convention centers of 400,000 or more square feet.
A beach girl through and through – she has lived in Salt Lake City for 20 years with her husband and three children.
